TRACK 04:
The fourth track “PORT 3.0” draws its name and inspiration from USB ports, and how the plugging-in and transferal of data from one point to another could be applied to our own adventures throughout life whilst we explore new places. Originally, I wrote the basic idea with ambient chords then decided to bring a close friend on after I showed them the foundations and asked for their input. We continued to build the track around an audio clip of environmental ambience of a space shipping port, but I eventually opted to drop the clip from the final product due to copyright (I believe the clip was from Mass Effect) and the over-suggestiveness of a set environment that came along with it, as I felt that this would take away from the listener’s subjective experience.
