THE END

"THE END" marks my final release of 2020, and the start of an interesting personal journey with my life and music. I came into this songs session with the intention of expressing my idea of chaos and letting my creativity flow, and was rather happy with the result.

With "THE END" I wanted to explore my idea of chaos, or rather the extreme tranquility that can be found within it. I experimented a lot with live programming, syncopation and sparseness and felt that in order to express my concept of chaos and stay true to the idea, I was to build the track live, without pausing it. This kept me on my feet as I had to make a lot of fine tuning on the fly and had to pay close attention to detail, rhythm and flow.

In short, I found it to be a rather therapeutic process and fun approach, as I usually build a musical idea over months with research and documentation of thought or personal experiences. I personally found it refreshing to give into "the chaos" and express an idea as it arose, feeding into the beast of uncertainty.
